- Building Living Evangelizing Stones (BLEST) and
Endowment For Disciples (ED)
Have you remembered St. Stephen in your will? If so, let us know so we can enter your name in the pastor's book of BLEST givers. If not, consider naming the "St. Stephen Parish BLEST Restricted Fund" or the "St. Stephen Parish Endowment For Disciples Restricted Fund" in your will for one-tenth (or more!) of your estate, and let us know. Living and deceased BLEST and ED givers are remembered each year at Mass on December 26, the feast of St. Stephen, first martyr and deacon.

- Growing In The Spirit
Our capital campaign of 2005 netted pledges of $3.4 million over five years, to build a new church building and to tithe by building six Habitat houses. This ongoing campaign offers new members the opportunity to be a part of the effort.

- Rice Bowl Supper and Passion Mime
A simple lenten meal to celebrate the work of Catholic Relief Services, followed by our annual Passion In Mime presented by parish teens.

- Stewardship Awareness Team
Drawing on Scripture and Tradition, our goal is a comprehensive fostering of stewardship as a way of life and the giving of human, physical, and financial resources (time, talent and treasure). Workshop topics include wills, planned giving, funeral planning, and personal finance.

- Tithing
The diocese suggests, as a guide, a basic tithe of 10 percent of gross income: 5 percent to the parish, 2 percent to the diocese, and 3 percent to other charities, perhaps some to support local works and some to meet global needs.Everything belongs to God
